چکیده
Aim: Potent combined and long-term antithrombotic therapies that predispose to gastric injury are the mainstay of treatment in acute coronary syndromes (ACS). Severe chronic mucosal inflammation due Helicobacter Pylori (H. pylori) infection was shown be associated with higher peripheral blood lymphocytes lower mean platelet volume (MPV) levels. We aimed investigate discriminative usefulness lymphocyte MPV ratio as a simple premise marker for CagA positive H. before required advanced diagnostic tests patients arterial disease (CAD). Materials Methods: A total 293 patients’ who had undergone elective urgent angiography CAD were included study. Serologic pylori status hematological parameters determined. Two groups compared according serology status. Confounding factors adjusted by propensity score matching multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results: Rates ACS, male gender, diabetes mellitus, family history CAD, current smoking seropositive seronegative (p < 0.05). The ROC curve analysis showed at cut-off point 165 71% sensitivity 60% specificity discriminating (AUC = 0.71, p 0.0001). Lymphocyte independently serology. Conclusion: can helpful H infected requiring confirmatory tests.

Association of Severity of Helicobacter pylori Infection with Peripheral Blood Neutrophil to Lymphocyte Ratio and Mean Platelet Volume
Aim To determine the correlation of Helicobacter pylori infection with peripheral blood neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and mean platelet volume (MPV). Materials and methods The NLR, MPV, platelets, leukocytes, neutrophils, and lymphocytes were calculated and the differences between groups were investigated. Results A total of 199 patients were included in the study. Neutrophil/lymphocyte...
متن کاملDiagnostic value of platelet/lymphocyte ratio and neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio in investigations for helicobacter pylori gastritis
Helicobacter pylori (HP) can cause many diseases and malignant conditions. In the stomach, HP causes mucosal injury and inflammation. We determined the association of the platelet/lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) with HP-positive and HP-negative gastritis severity. We retrospectively reviewed 234 patients who had undergone upper gastrointestinal endoscopy for the inv...
متن کاملOverexpression of YKL-40 Predicts Plaque Instability in Carotid Atherosclerosis with CagA-Positive Helicobacter Pylori Infection
OBJECTIVES YKL-40 has been demonstrated to be related to atherosclerosis, but its role in predicting plaque status and the outcome of carotid atherosclerosis (CAS) caused by CagA-positive Helicobacter pylori remains unclear. This study was aimed to investigate the role of YKL-40 in predicting the outcome of carotid atherosclerosis with CagA-positive Helicobacter pylori infection. METHODS The ...
